“We Have Nothing to Fear from Commitment and Love” – The Inspiring NY Senator, Diane Savino Speaking on the importance of the Marriage Bill. An amazing point she brings up is how the government does not interfere with the quality of a commitment between man and woman. On the very day they meet, a man and a woman can get married without any question by authority. Take Las Vegas for instance, where I once got married on a whim. Where was the government to question the validity? Yet, same sex couples’ commitments are questioned again and again and again in a perpetual state of unfairness. All people deserve the right to plan and protect for the people they care about. [VIA]
